There are so many chinese places in Cincy, I was just wondering if anyone had a suggestion on the ones they think are the best.

CG is the best. No doubt. Ignore the menu, its for show. Ask what to have.

We like Suzie Wongs on Madison in Walnut Hills. It is more Asian than Chinese, but very good.

I think we had a pretty recent thread on this topic. Oriental Wok gets my vote.

I vote for Doodles in Hyde Park square. It has a healthy oriented menu (not too much fried food or msg). Really they are quite good. Their seafood noodle bowel is really good.

Sounds like Scottish/Chinese fusion cuisine! Mmmm...haggis.

Blue Gibbon in Paddock Hills is a Goyguy family favorite going back a long way. Everybody (including Yours Truly) enjoyed their food when the City-Data meet-up of August 2009 took place there. But the Goyguy Sr's say it hasn't been all that great lately. The quality seems to vary depending on who's cooking. But one thing you're guaranteed is generous-sized servings.

i ate at blue gibbon once in '03 and again about two months ago. in '03 it seemed like fantastic food and last time it was sort of....mediocre. good enough, but not a cut above. the dining room is also feeling a little dated. i'll go there again, but at the moment we find the peking garden in deer park to feed the need.

I second China Gourmet, it's amazingly good. I also like Oriental Wok, and the owners (same ones who've been opening up Chinese places in NKY since the 70s) run that place superbly. The service was outstanding.
