What's the scoop on Grammer's nowadays? My head started spinning too much, keeping track of reopenings - and reclosings - to stay current.

They are open for special events, ie midpoint, and it's available to rent for private functions. There's currently an art exhibit there which is the most activity I've seen since they closed.

They're digging down into the hill. The parking garage is going to be under the building. The building is going to be a free standing emergency department. I don't think that the building is going to be more than two or three stories.

I really hope they put a left turn arrow at the Smith and Williams/Markbreit intersection. Getting on to 71N can be a pain in the azz.

Hopefully that new hotel in Covington can become a catalyst for further retail, restaurant and office development in downtown Covington. I'll be living just a few blocks from there and it would be great to see a more vital downtown area in which to utilize the services and businesses nearby. I am guessing that the development along the river is about to spread further south into the downtown area of Covington.

Zula update. Posting this mainly because there is a good description of some of the new menu items. That particular block holds a lot of promise once construction is complete. Nearly the entire block is under construction. John Hueber Homes is tackling several buildings on the corner of 15th and race.

$450,000 donation from Duke Energy to advance construction at Smale Riverfront Park
Quote:
Thanks to a $450,000 donation from Duke Energy, the Cincinnati Park Board will be able to move forward more quickly with the development of what was previously called the Main Street Garden at the Smale Riverfront Park.
....................
According to park officials, the Duke Energy Garden will include 87 trees, thousands of smaller plantings, walking paths, a 150-foot granite seat wall, and 12 “family-sized” porch swings.
