Did this in the Louisville thread, thought I'd do a similar one here.

I refuse to pigeonhole myself, or to pigeonhole Cincinnati.

It's basically a way of expressing indifference - sorta like a "take it or leave it" attitude.

The nasty rules... end of story... but somehow I think you already knew my opinion Crystal.

Also Crystal, one reason for the lack of response here that I have recently uncovered is that most of the people on this board are not in fact from Cincy, but moved in from elsewhere and now enjoy bashing it and mischaraterizing it. You can't understand this place unless its in your blood, plain and simple. Internet just arrived here a few years ago so you gotta give the natives time to catch up with this board stuff...

I've lived here my entire life, so I feel I have a right to "bash" it, as you say - although I wouldn't use that term. I'd prefer to say I "express my disappointment" with Cincinnati. I recognize there are good things about the area, but I also see how much could be done to improve things as well. Cincinnati certainly has a lot of potential to be greater than what it is, but somehow it doesn't utilize that potential.

And FYI - the internet has been around here a lot longer than just a few years. I've been online since 1999, and I know for a fact it was available before that.

BTW, where do you live? What's with the "UK" part of your username?

Thumbs up Go Cats, indeed!

That was my instinctive interpretation: "UK" means Kentucky Wildcats. And yeah, they're awesome!
