Jobs in Cincinnati? (how much, neighborhoods, construction)

My family and I are thinking of moving to Cincinnati so I can attend U of Cincinnati. Any advice? Anyone know anything about the U? Good neighborhoods / schools? Are there any jobs? My DH has worked mostly in construction, but can do a few other things, too. Also, can you tell me about the weather. How much snow / ice? And what about tornadoes?

Good luck on the move. UC is a good school. The campus is nice and mostly close together compared to some other bigger schools. However, if you have young children, I would not choose to live that close to campus. There are many threads that talk about the pros and cons of different areas of town that you could look at.

As for the weather, I don't know where you are coming from, but it gets cold here in winter. I love snow. And there just isn't enough of it for the ammount of cold weather we get. The kids might get a few days off for snow each year.

I have lived here since 1993 and we have only had one major tornado come through here.
