My son is currently in the 7th grade in private school. Already we aregetting information about high schools. He has been playing football for eightyears and currently plays with All Saints. He has the ed choice scholarship topay for tuition, so I would also be looking for assistance. I would likereviews from parents, teachers on high schools in Cincinnati. Preferred Moellersince its less than 10 minutes away and top choice. Other schools include StXavier, Purcell Marian and Roger Bacon. I am on the east side of town in ColumbiaTownship and would like something close. Feel free to comment here or direct message. Thanks in advance.

I've had my kids shadow and attend open houses at a few of the schools mentioned. My oldest went to LaSalle and my two youngest went to Archbishop Elder. We highly preferred Elder out of the two as we felt the overall environment and academic focus was far superior. I'd say Archbishop Moeller is a great option. It's a good school and proximity to you is certainly a plus. If athletics are a factor as well and you want them to play at the highest level you can't go wrong with Moeller, Elder or St X. Roger Bacon remains a solid school. Enrollment-wise it is certainly smaller and if you want your child in a co-ed environment as opposed to all boys it would be a good option. We really liked the academic focus when my kids shadowed and went to RB's open house. They, like Elder and Moeller did an excellent job of balancing both athletics and academics in my opinion.

Thanks for the response Montrell. I'm on the East side in Columbia Township so Elder and LaSalle are way too far for me. My mom might look at Purcell Marian. But Moeller is my top choice, since he plays football for All Saints their little sister school and his coach gives one 8th grader a scholarship. Roger Bacon I hardly hear anything about and it cost a lot for enrollment.

I have the ed choice scholarship and only can go to certain schools like St Xavier,Moeller, Purcell, Roger Bacon and so on. But I told my son Moeller is where your going since they give a lot of scholarship money and we're less than 10 minutes from there

A quick definition of Edchoice

The Educational Choice Scholarship (EdChoice) Program was created to provide students from underperforming public schools the opportunity to attend participating private schools.

Thanks Mimi in cinci. With that scholarship you can attend any school that accepts it. With that being said on Moeller, St Xavier, Purcell, Lasalle, Depaul Cristo Rey and Roger Bacon accept it.
