Do any supermarkets in the Cincy area sell either Pastrami or Capicola Ham in the deli?

The meat sellers in Findlay Market have good selections. But, mostly the capocollo will be imported, the pastrami may be local.

Great. Get this though. The Kroger about 3 to 4 blox from the house I have in Covington does not have a Deli. At least I may be able to find it at another Kroger Deli. Findlay Market is probably about a 2 to 3 mile jaunt from the house. Entirely doable ride. Have not been there since the 1990's though and I bet it has changed.

Stop at Avril Bleh on the way north. Its my go-to place. Court and Walnut. They smoke many of thier own meats and have Boar's Head or equivalents.

I'd recommend the homemade brisket, or the pastrami. I think their real specialty is fresh sausage. Try the Italian or the garlic sausage (fresh bratwurst).

But, there is homemade deli meat aplenty. Turkey, sometimes right out of the oven, sliced, smoked turkey, sliced pork loin (for a Cuban sandwich), and smoked fish - always salmon, sometimes others. Home made bacon. They have a sandwich shop next door.

If you are headed north on the east side, there i s silverglades. Craig Silverglade makes a lot of his own stuff. They have a shop in Findlay Market, but they also have a place at 8th and Sycamore. Try the ham or the turkey. They also have pastrami but not sure about capocollo,

I will have to look into the Italian sausage. Difficult to find quality stuff outside of the northeast. This sounds like it might be just the right thing for the Italian food that I make that require fresh Italian sausage.

Oh, the fresh sausage is marvelous. They usually have at least four fresh sausages. I may go over there right now since I am down in OTR today. They also make chicken Italian sausage for the non-pork crowd. Wife loves it, but I'm a pork man. If it has pork, its for me.
