Au contraire. Q102 was the epicenter of the 30-something drink, drug, dance, and casual sex crowd. And, the master of ceremonies was The Squirrel. Every week he signaled where it was happening, Lucy's, The Conservatory, The Glass, etc. And, we would swarm to the location like salmon swimming upstream to spawn. Squirrel was a friend of mine and he led the charge into the valley of moral depravity.

Hey, love your expounding. I have absolutely nothing to do with it, zero connection even though I know we are of similar generations. Sure glad we apparently did not evolve in the same environment.

Well, we all have our way of acting out a mid-life crisis. Looking back, it probably would have been a whole lot cheaper, healthier, and morally correct to have bought a big sailboat.

Ohiogirl81 is spot on, when I was a teenager in the 70s Q102 was considered jr high bubble gum crap for 7th grade girls who thought Muskrat Love by The Captain and Tennille was edgy. And that sign off by that fat troll Mark Sebastian about "wanting to see everyone completely naked" was kind of creepy too.

Back in the day the cool kids, the stoners, the party crowd listened to WSAI-FM (before they went country in 1981), WVUD (the student run radio station at UD), WTUE and WEBN.

My username is a tribute to the best radio station ever in SW Ohio, mentioned in the movie Rainman, note that they are driving on Columbia Parkway in the following clip.

Good, glad you all had so much time to listen to rock and roll radio during the 70s. By that time I had three kids, was moving to Mason with the 4th on the way, and only listened to radio in the car for weather and traffic reports. My whole association with music on the radio came to an abrupt halt, guess I just no longer gave a damn.

I figured you would be listening to WWEZ back then.

Frankly, I didn't listen to much of anything back then. Keeping up with my job and family were all I was focused on. I doubt if I listened to broadcast music for 10 minutes a day. I certainly made no plans in my life cycle to listen to any of them, and still don't. Once Elvis died I was done with the whole regime.

To an extent I was done with the regime when Elvis came along.
