Thank you so much guys! You really are awesome and I would have never thought to get this much help from you.I should say that I'm not nearly as confused as I was at first.

Actually Iranians are not Arabs. We are Persians and we have totally different cultures, but because Iran's popularion mainly are Muslims, and have so much in common with Arabs because of our religion,it's a common mistake that people think Iranians are Arabs.

Thank you for complementing on my English As you know English is not our first language and it is not taught properly in our schools and that's why I have the phobia of having many mistakes.

Whether or not you'd want to join, they at least may have some people who would be able to help you with relocating to the area.

I tried to see if there are other groups that might be helpful, but this one seemed the most relevant.

I don't know the campus area in the city really, so I'm not going to be able to offer any advice on that matter -- but I would definitely contact the Persian Student Association and see if they might have some good information for you.

I hope you're accepted to the University, and that your welcome to the US is a wonderful one.

Ah yes, that would be my bad! Very sorry about that, I won't forget next time.

If you can't tell, I'm not that in the know about the middle east.

Either way, best of luck at UC!

I'm so glad that was helpful!

I really hope that you're accepted and that you have a smooth transition - moving so far for school must be very exciting, but also a little terrifying! I'm sure the folks at the Persian Student Association will have a lot of good information for you on the sorts of things you can expect and what areas will be good for you to consider.
