I made a post in the Anybody remember these restaurants? thread, then decided that it needed a thread of it's own

Learned last week that Washington Platform and The Grand Finale closed permanently last months

Both of them have been staples of our community and favorites forever

I am sure there are others that COVID broke

I dedicate this thread to all of them

This trend has been a national concern since Covid struck, due to labor shortages and supply chain issues. And inside dining shut down. But at least Frisch's Big Boy is still hanging in there. Only Ohio, Michigan, and a few California locations still remain for Big Boy franchises.

Campanello's. It closed some years ago, maybe not recent enough to qualify for this thread. I miss it anyway. Same with Bella Luna.

MrsM loved the Grand Finale. I wasn't enamored since the original owners sold it to the staff

End of an era. A friend from high school started there just after they opened - must have been one of their first employees.

Pit-to-Plate in College hill gone. Drove by today and it is now a sports bar.

I'm gonna miss their BBQ
