Hello! Just returned from visiting your great city. I saw many homes with the garages located below the ground level of the house and wondered if water issues were a concern, as in water in the basement.

Thanks!!!

There is an issue when it rains too much over a short period of time. Where I live. The sewer has never backed up through the drain in the basement but sometimes leaves and debris clogs the drain. I have not had much of a problems since Everdry dug a ditch around the foundation and installed some piping to help take the water away from the foundation.

Every situation is different. If you live on a hill. Pressure could build on the foundation which can allow water to get inside through cracks in the foundation.

Thanks for responding. I kind of thought that might be the case. Many of the houses were older and great architecturally but with steep inward sloping driveways leading to the under house garage.

Most of my neighbors who had a basement garage (this is in Indian Hill NR, aka Madison Place) had a drain installed right in front of the garage door. The only problems came when the drain wasn't cleared properly.
