Hi there,

I am 26 years old and trying to find a primary care/internal med doctor. I've never had much luck with any doctors I have found. I was hoping someone out there would have a recommendation for a doc that isn't all about prescriptions and drugs. I would like to find one that is versed in a more natural approach to medicine.

I cannot afford to go to the type of doc I want and was hoping someone would have some insight or experiences.

Possibly if anyone also knows a doctor that specialize in PCOS or hormonal imbalances would be a plus.

Thanks,
April

This is not my doctor but I know some of her patients who speak of her highly. I think she would meet your criteria about a natural approach. Lauri Erway Nandyal, MD, NCMP Physician Profile | UC Health

Most naturopathic "medicine" is pure quackery. But, you might try Dr. Fabrey. At least he is an MD:

I agree with you to a point, but in defense of the doc's name I posted, there ARE relatively conventional physicians who focus on things like lifestyle changes over prescribing the latest thing the pharma reps are coming around to their offices pimping. I recommended her on that basis.

Your recommendation went though a good MD program at UC Family Medicine. So, she will be well qualified. And, I agree with the drug nonsense. Today, a person living in a river valley known for allergies and pollutants, and with a little itchiness of the eye deserves a $10 a day Rx for Restasis it seems. Most Rx we can do without.
