I think there is a subtle oddness in the following:

Erie
Graves
Haight
Lick
Slack

Mad Anthony St in Northside sure sounds like someplace worth avoiding. Who would want to live next to Mad Anthony?

Do you mean "Soddy Daisy", perhaps?

Default the most nondescript name ever

I grew up on Turf Lane in Bridgetown. Even now, I think it's an incredibly unimaginative name.
We moved to the subdivision/new street in 1967 (I was 6 years old). The tract was called Churchill Downs, and like many subdivisions in western Hamilton County, it was owned/developed/platted by folks who were someways involved in horse racing. So many of the other subdivisions were named after horses or racetracks, so I never understood why our street was just named after, quite literally, the turf that the horses ran on.
No, there is now way that horses could have run on the property originally. It's pretty steep.
My mom is the only original owner left on the street, and she and I are probably the only people on the planet who still know the name of the development.

P.S. Don't strain your brain trying to figure out how old I am. I'm 49.

Probably my street name "Urwiler" (Errr-While-Er) , people can't spell it--they always want to add an "i" or an "e" in there on either side of ther "L"

Or where I grew up on "Covered Bridge Road", like it's the only covered bridge in Hamilton County.
