Hello all,

Well, today my husband got the green light from his employer for a transfer to Columbus He will be working at the firm's headquarters located in downtown Columbus.

We are currently familarizing ourselves with the neighborhoods. My question to ANYONE who may know is what areas of Columbus are comparable (as far as neighborhood and housing styles) to:

~Hartwell?
~Wyoming?
~Pleasant Ridge?
~Oakley?
~Norwood?

My husband would like to keep his commute into downtown Columbus at 25 minutes or less. The closer to his job, the better, so long as the neighborhood(s) are safe (day and night), clean, and friendly (to those of different race, religion, etc.)

Thank you to anyone that can advise me

If you like Oakley you will love Grandview.

Wyoming could be a perfect match for Bexley. It is an old Jewish community with huge houses and bad neighborhoods surrounding it.

I just moved to Norwood, right across I-71 from Rookwood pavilion, and it is much like an area called Beechwold or northern Clintonville. The poorer sections of Norwood are like Whitehall on the East side of C-bus.

No comparisons for Hartwell or Pleasant Ridge. C-bus doesn't really have anything that is nice AND "diverse" (i know i know) at the same time.

Having lived in Columbus but now in the Greater Cincinnati area. I would agree with previous posts............Grandview, Clintonville, Upper Arlington can be alittle Hyde Parkish, Bexley is somewhat Hyde Parkish too.
