Wilson, I'll be honest right off the bat---I haven't always agreed with everything you've posted, but I respected you because you spoke your mind and stood by your words...same with you, Cincy...I'm glad there are folks like you living in this area, who will rise to its defense when necessary...
But Wilson, you hit it outta the park with your last post...and I'm squarely in the camp of those who are sick and tired of people painting Cincinnati and the SW Ohio area (i'm in Middletown, that supposedly 'fast dying' city---try telling my wife or any of our neighbors that LOL) as something out of 'Grand Theft Auto' or ground zero for the next Apocalypse!
Peanut'sMom, if you're still en route here, then welcome...this, despite all the 'haters' and naysayers is a GOOD place to live and raise a family---the ONLY gripe I have about Ohio is one, sadly, that a lot of folks have...I can't stand the winters, and at 53, with retirement not far off, the prospect of a warmer climate is most appealing...
However, my wife and I have been discussing alternatives, such as spending winters elsewhere, because spring and summer and fall here are most bearable
and besides, I dont know how many more 'moves' I have left in this old carcass of mine LOL...besides, all our friends and family are here, and the more she 'woks on me' the more I realize how right she is about not wanting to 'start all over' in a strange (albeit warm) place...

Oh no you didn't! Washington ranks 35th to 37th on the suicide list , the top 3 are Las Vegas, Reno and Atlantic City, then there's always South Dakota! While some people lump all of Washington state with the Pacific Northwest where it is grey and rainy and can lead to SAD, they are usually smart enough to move away if they don't like it. I love it!
