Hi Everyone -

Only being the area for a year now, I haven't been able to find out too much about tattoo shops around. I'm itching to get my next one and I really want to find the best place, with the best artists around. Looking in the Cincinnati/N. Kentucky area. Any suggestions? Going to a new place can be a little nerve racking when you're unsure, so hopefully I can be guided in the right direction. Thanks!

Danielle

The right direction is for you not to deface your body (no matter how fortunate or unfortunate looking you might be) with permanent slogans, logos, and bad line art. Get a bumper sticker instead, or buy yourself a nice flower.

thanks for you opinion but considering I've already "defaced my body" I think I'll continue to do so. Just asking for good tattoo places . . .

I know there are some good ones in Clifton (or technically Clifton Heights?) just south of UC's campus.

I think there is a very well thought of one in Brookville Indiana about 45 minutes to the West on US 52.

Its on the left side of 52 right as you come in to downtown Brookville.

But, I still am opposed.

There are some tat parlors on "Short Vine" in Corryville, just east of UC, and there are bound to be more in Clifton among other places. (With Northside's artsy hipster reputation it's probably one of those places.) Here's a thought: See what's posted on yelp.com about them. That's a social networking site - what isn't these days, lol, but Yelp's angle is that it's also full of reviews about stores, restaurants, etc.

I would suggest Roy's in Mason. Spending a few hours in that shop is a great time and they do great work.

I've heard great things about Designs by Dana. They have locations in Northside and Covington. Here is a link to their website.
