hi! I currently rent an apartment in Hyde Park, and am looking for a change of scenery - I'm interested in moving either to DeSales Flats or DeSales Plaza, both near the corner of Madison and Woodburn. There's been a lot of conversation on these forums about East Walnut Hills as a whole, but I was wondering if anyone had any perspective on the area around DeSales corner. Anything I should be worried about (I am a single female)?

Since you are already in Hyde Park, why not go up there to the Desales flats Saturday night and walk around and see what you think. Just don't walk north on Woodburn toward Montgomery and Hewitt unless you have a police dog with you.
