Is it me or is a question like this racist? I mean I'm sure many on this forum would gang up on someone who asked someone which state which has the highest percentage of white children is the best. I hate the double standard.

Minority can mean Latino, Asian, Black, etc... It's not one particular group of people.

I know I'm just raising a question if this forum was done for someone who wanted to live in the whitest states. Why do we even lump such diverse groups as just minorities anymore?

...Why under age 15?

So states where elementary and middle school kids are less than half white are that much different?

Just saying it's an odd stat.

What's the purpose of this thread???

Some of those cities aren't even Minority Majority states and I don't see the purpose of the under 15 thing.

It isn't necessarily a double standard. In many of the city-specific rooms, we get regular questions from people asking where nice "Majority black/Hispanic/gay/Jewish/white/whatever" neighborhoods are. It's allowed so long as it's worded in such a way that someone is seriously asking the question and not just trying to start a fight in the forums. If someone wants to live in a very diverse area, they ask that too, but if they don't and want an area that more homogeneous to whatever their race/religion/sexuality is, then it's fine to ask for recommendations on that, too. If the comments cross the line into racist then we deal with it appropriately, but you need to understand the difference between a comment that you may just not like or find personally insulting, and one that is really racist.

The topic in this thread is a little odd for comparision in regards to asking what State "wins", and listing specific age groups, but there seems to be no intent to start a fight or insult war, either. Some of the comments are leaning toward getting riled however, and we ask that you stay on the topic only please. Thank you.
