Atlanta, GA:
City Pop- 540,900
MSA- 5,475,000
CSA- 5,831,778

Square millage- 132 sqmi
Population Density- 4,020 ppsm.

Charlotte, NC:
City pop- 709,441
MSA- 1,745,524
CSA- 2,454,965

Square millage- 242 sqmi
Population density- 2,515 ppsm

I think I'm leaning towards ATL because the job market has a stronger MSA/CSA to support it. I prefer Charlotte's general location though- But overall I'm going to go with ATL.

I meant to vote for Atlanta, but whatever.

Since I am young, I'd definitely chose Atlanta over Charlotte. I like that it's fast-pace and there is more to do. However, if I were wanting to raise a family, then I would probably chose Charlotte.

630 ppsm ) Come on now Atlanta city proper is 4,019.7 ppsm you put the metro overall over density.

I saw that on wikipedia, and was like "what?"- but I guess I should of looked closer. Thanks for clearing that up

You were looking at Atlanta metropolitan area.

I say Atlanta, but I could very well live in Charlotte. I'd just want more of a bigger city.

That is nothing new, Atlanta is a city of polar opposites, it has always had some of the richest blacks in the country as well as some of the poorest. That more or less is a reflection of the current economy than anything else. Not to mention that crime in the city is waaaay down from what it was 20 years ago.
