And btw I’m going to keep copying and pasting my point each time Kode and mutiny want to deflect my point and use their own agendas. That’s pretty much how you get rid of pest in debates.
Welcome to the club. They do me like that all the time. LOL.
I, for one, don't let Atlanta (or Dallas) get under my skin. I've said things about Atlanta, being petty, but I do find Atlanta to be a nice city where blacks have flourished. TBH, it's no secret that many blacks are leaving Atlanta or don't want to go to Atlanta based on failed hopes (see media hype). Look on YouTube and LipStick Alley, and you will see what blacks are saying about Atlanta; they dog Atlanta out more than CD does.
I recently met a musician who moved to Houston from Atlanta and said that blacks in Atlanta are fake and phony; he stated that he wanted to be around blacks who make real money. I've heard this on numerous occasions. Granted, I have not seen this in Atlanta outside of reality TV. I really think that stereotype is overrated. My sister lives in Forsyth County, GA, and her realtor said that blacks in the Atlanta area stunt and have empty homes; he even said that a lot of blacks have moved to Houston, and he knows this because he hooks them up with his realtor friend here.
Of course, the alliance is going to come for me, but I don't care. Folks on social media are telling black people not move to Atlanta; save your energy to debate with them, not me.
Mutiny is sticking up for Kode. Mutiny thinks he can hide what has been said throughout this 132+ thread lol.
Right. Then, some posters come at me about Dallas. Dallas's shortcomings for blacks are more obvious than Atlanta's fakeness. Folks on other social media outlets say that Dallas lacks a lot of black culture. TBH, you can just travel there and see that. I've even experienced it. Folks come at me for stating the obvious. I wish I can post text messages from my friends who have moved to Dallas and complain about the lack of black culture.

I’ve watched a few videos that described what you’re saying.
You have to literally be kneeling to Atlanta blacks or else you are a strawman lmao.
As for NYC the black middle class isn’t respected because it’s dominated by Caribbean black people which I believe plays a part in it. But I’ll save that for another debate.
I've been lurking on here and it has been an interesting debate. I don't believe that any one city is a "Black Capital." That's just some bragging rights title but there isn't one to be honest. Given how this country has treated Blacks, use this country up, whether it be LA, NY, Chi, DC, ATL, MIA, Philly...whatever.
I just can't believe that Blacks are arguing about this. It's like drug dealers fighting over blocks that will be gentrified in a couple years anyway.

So True and Agree!!! You couldn't have said it better
I’m not interested in continuing to debate with you so I’m going ti leave this here. You just want to TALK, TALK and TALK!
Atlanta is the Black capitol as far as community goes, but as far as individual black success, Atlanta doesn’t offer a black man the opportunity to max out on his/her success hence the reason why black individuals from the south still make the choice to go up north or out west.
^^not even the first sentence agreeing with you can stop you from talking.
P.S - and yes a poster a few pages back did in fact say he and the people around him were taught that ATL was the place to go be a successful black man.
Now go away!
The fact is that you're supposedly a newcomer to this board (which I kinda doubt) and you came in with guns a-blazing attempting to "school" folks who have actually discussed this topic a lot of times on many different threads. Your approach was very confrontational from the start and then you act like others are wrong when they challenge your statements.
I forget the title of the other thread, but it had a ton of data as far as average salaries go for Blacks across many different professions in various cities across the country. There was other information as well that allowed participants to form a holistic view of the cities under discussion and the exchange was quite congenial. And for the most part, this one was too until....well....yeah.

I didn't know that there was some sort of uniformity or monolithic quality to blackness or black culture that would designate one single capital. Don't buy it...concept is flawed.

Black folks go everywhere but there's been a very strong north-to-south migration trend in place for a decades, and while much of it has been to Atlanta, it hasn't all been to Atlanta especially in recent years. When you're talking about people "maxing out on his/her success," that depends on a host of factors. Some Black men have done that in Atlanta and many others have done that elsewhere.
I suspect that your overall point here isn't about Atlanta but about the South in general. Believe it or not, Black folks can "max out on their success" in Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Raleigh, Charlotte, Nashville, etc.

True. But I was looking at it from a sector point of view.
The sectors are still dominated by northern and Western cities.
