Illinois has to be it. One reason is that it happens with both parties widespread. Also a large number of former governors have been charged with corruption related charges.

Wow, what an enlightening topic. I wonder if Illinois would have as much noise on this board if Obama wasn't on the radar. Although the Blago case was pretty embarrassing for that state. New York's ex governor hooking up with Trixie was pretty amusing. The first state that came to my mind was Louisiana. However every states politics are corrupt to one degree or another. I have family living in Alaska which is one of the least taxing states in the country to live in and I hear a whole bunch of noise about all the corruption in state politics up there. Even little Rhode Island is famous for corruption. Paying taxes there is said to be like handing your money right over to the mob. No state is exempt. It's the nature of government and if you read into History beyond the fluff that one likely learned in grade school one would see it's been that way for a very long time.
There's something about Illinois and corrupt governors. I vote for them.
Allow me to clarify that statement: I'm not voting for the corrupt Illinois governors, although they'd probably try to find a way for me to vote for them -- twice. (Once from Pennsylvania and once from Georgia.)
Take the cake (coincidentally they're the states with the largest cities).....
NJ not so much now that Corzine is gone, but boy he was up there....
