I think this is an interesting comparison between Westwood and University City as they are basically the central business district of the western section of their respective cities. Which is the bigger economic powerhouse? Which do you prefer?
I don't know about economic power but I personally prefer the charm of University City. Plus some large economic powerhouses like CHOP, Penn, IRS reside in the area. Plus 30th Street station is in University City which is THE if not one of the busiest train stations in the US.
That's a great photo. It's so tough in general to get good skyline pics of University City by itself without including the Center City skyline.
Agreed... may be doable from a building in Center City... or from I-76 going North or from I-95 in South Philly going west... but it's difficult to get a shot of UCity unless in a plane.
The residential neighborhoods on the west side of University City are the best and this is why I love University City so much. Neighborhoods like Clark Park, Spruce Hill and Woodland Terrace are amazing. IDK how you can hate this but to each their own. http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-...10562515_n.jpg
