Actually to me all three are pretty damn close on the urbanity aspect

Right, but we're still talking about 6 Million vs 4.5 Million so Philadelphia SHOULD be ahead as far as total income. If Philadelphia had the Bay Area's Per Capita Personal Income of $59,000-its total income would be $354 Billion.

Agreed...however I think the historical aspect of those neighborhoods in Boston & Philadelphia have a certain charm and character about them that can't be found in many other places.

It's hard to beat old colonial row homes with cobblestone streets.

Per cap is greater (as is for Boston) but also the COL is 1.45 times that of Philly - they are all actually pretty close
