Out of which 30? Mine would be Boston, MA. It is one, if not the only, state capital that is also a diverse multicultural city with a major metro area.

First of all, capitol refers to the building; capital refers to the city.

And why "out of thirty"? We've got 50.

I echo Boston, and Denver is another good one. Atlanta's not quite as urban, but it's fairly diverse with lots to do and see.

Columbus, Ohio might be up there too. St. Paul, Minnesota is as well.

The competition isn't very big since the big, well known cities in most states aren't the capitals. I'll go with Boston, followed by Atlanta. I like both Austin and Madison too.

Sacramento is incredibly multicultural but its not as lively and urban as Boston.
