I know there have been similar threads, but I don't think people have "ranked" them. They've either praised one city or ripped on another. Base your order off of:
-national and regional importance
-economy
-vibe
-anything else that you think contributes
My list would go: 1. Seattle 2. Denver 3. Minneapolis (could be tied with Denver) 4. Portland

I was actually thinkink the same thing. It has a great nightlife, best transit of the 4, pretty vibrant and lively downtown...i don't see how the other cites are tiers ahead.
No slight intended to Denver, I could live in any of these cities.
