I saw this ranking some months ago, and all I can say is that you should take this list with a grain of salt.
For example, Cleveland comes in at No. 12, apparently only because the city was chosen to host the Gay Games in 2014. Yet Chicago didn't even make the top 15 even though it already hosted the Gay Games back in 2006? And hosts the International Mr. Leather contest every Memorial Day weekend, year in and year out? Plus has the largest gay nightlife district in the entire Midwest? What's up with that?
This list sounds to me like someone just sat down one day and made it up.
Yes, this is always a very strange list. But look at the criteria it is based upon:
Tegan and Sara performances? Please.
That list makes my brain hurt to look at.

I wish they would stop lumping them all together. It'd be interesting to see what the individual statistics are for each subset (for instance, if one city has a lot of gays but few bisexuals, or if one has a lot of lesbians but few gay men). Also, I wish they'd stop erasing the transsexuals and include them in these surveys for once.
