Well, if you are including Armenians under the "Middle Easterner" group (it appears that the data in this thread does include them), my city of Glendale is apparently 38% Armenian.
And you wouldn't see "headscarves" or anything like that because for the most part Armenians aren't Muslim.

Actually, not to sound like a huge ****, but if you subtract Middle Easterners from Non-Hispanic Whites for Dearborn, non-Hispanic Whites are STILL the majority population.

Non-Hispanic/ME White: 46,047 (51.8%)
Middle Easterners: 35,623 (40.0%, of which)
-19 are Afghan
-34,770 are Arab
-518 are Armenian
-33 are Assyrian
-208 are Iranian
-12 are Israeli
-63 are Turkish
Hispanic: 2,466 (2.8%)
Black: 2,026 (2.3%)
Asian: 1,664 (1.9%)

Middle Easterners: 75,984 (38.7%, of which)
-119 are Afghan
-4,331 are Arab
-62,905 are Armenian
-195 are Assyrian
-8,182 are Iranian
-122 are Israeli

Non-Hispanic/ME White: 47,361 (24.2%)
Hispanic: 34,813 (17.8%)

In fact, Middle Easterners ARE the largest demographic in Glendale, but not in Dearborn...

I already posted the numbers on all these states, and you didn't like it.
If you have your preconceived notions already set in stone, why bother even making threads if evidence to the contrary gets swept aside?
And 500k is for LA CSA..872k is for the STATE OF CALIFORNIA. Those are TWO different entities, of which LA CSA is WHOLLY within the State of California. Why is that so hard to understand?
In raw number, the whole Northeast COMBINED doesn't even reach California's numbers. In percentage, Michigan is tied with California for #1 (though, without rounding to the tenths, California SLIGHTLY has a higher percentage as MI as per 2005-2009 estimates 2.15% for MI and 2.18% for CA. With the 2010 estimates, MI is at 2.19% and CA is at 2.27%)
In other words, you're just using erroneous statistics to boost California. Gotcha!
No one actually believes that California has the most Middle Eastern people by number or per capita. Please give me a source besides your version of the US census.
