Which cities have the best airports when it comes to service and helpful airport employees? When I say service I mean getting from point A to point B, destination choices, getting to destination on time, etc.

I like DFW and Denver airports the best. Both are very big and well served but not manic, crowded, and claustrophobic like O'Hare. I've gotten good service from airport employees at DFW, even the TSA agents were very nice. I think Texas has a higher standard of customer service than most states. My only gripe with Denver (DIA) is its located way out in Kansas. Well its pretty far from the city anyway, but the facilities there are great and from what I remember the service is good and its just an easy airport to deal with, not a bad terminal to spend time at.

Portland, OR (PDX) has a surprisingly modern and nice airport as well. I like that you can easily catch the trains to the city right from the terminal.

My least favorite is Logan Airport in Boston, it sucks.

Well to start these are the airports I can recall having been to:

JFK
LaGuardia
Orlando International
Ft Lauderdale International
LAX
Baltimore International (BWI)
San Juan
American Samoa

I've had stopovers in others like Atlanta and Philly but never dealt with tickets really. My favorites are definitely JFK and Orlando. Well signed, organized, and clean. I hate hate hate LAX, had such a terrible experience there.

What makes it the best? Besides being the largest.

If we are basing this on ease of travel then I hate to say it but El Paso's airport is among the best. For a city of what? around 600k That is the most laid back airport I've ever been to in my life. I've literally showed up 45 minutes before my flight, got my ticket, checked my bags, went through security, bought a coffee and hopped on my plane all in one fluid motion.

Ive flown out of the Indianapolis international airport and i really like it.
Newest airport built after 9/11 so its built with Security checks and the TSA in mind. 2nd its very clean and open and people were very helpful and it was easy to navigate around.
Plus very little hassle and convience was a plus.
