Haitians and Filipinos are “Hispanic” now?????
Portuguese I guess counts since you slipped in “Latino” one place in your post
Haita and Portugal are considered to have Hispanic/Latino ancestry according to one internet source. That's the only reason why I included those countries.
The Philippines is not listed as Hispanic or Latino but it does have Spanish surnames and is influenced by Spain in many ways. I thought I'd include it.

Glad you pointed that out. That was a head scratcher.
Either way, his numbers are old.
The stats I used are current and the rankings only included cities with the biggest population totals. The suburban cities that have smaller populations did not rank much, it is mostly the bigger cities that ranked. Some large Dallas suburbs did rank as well for San Antonio and Houston, but I didn't include those because totals were a lot less, and I only included the big population centers or suburbs with large hispanic/Latino communities. It is mostly the large city proper that ranks versus the suburban cities. These stats do give a sampling of the diversity and population size of hispanic and Latino groups in Texas cities, but not for the entire metro area.

Wonder where the person saying someone visiting Boston would experience more Hispanic culture than Houston is. It’s pretty clear that’s not true and I have no idea why everyone thinks Houston’s Hispanic population of only Mexican.

The data is extremely clear.
If we have to pick one Hispanic Capital of the US based on city proper population, its Miami and I don't even think that is up for debate. The city is dominated by Latin Culture, it by far has the most Hispanic groups represented in such a short space, and per capita it dominates every other city.
If we go beyond that, I think there is a very clear tiered system (listed alphabetically within tiers):
Hispanic Capital - the Hispanic Primary City in the US.
Miami
Diverse Hispanic Culture/Population Mega Centers - emphasis on large domestic and foreign born populations with representation from large numbers of Hispanic Nationalities
Houston
Los Angeles
New York City
Less Diverse Hispanic Culture/Population Mega Centers - emphasis on large domestic and foreign born groups with representation from a small number of Hispanic Nationalities
Chicago
Dallas
Non-Diverse Hispanic Culture/Population Mega Centers - emphasis on large representation from only one or two Hispanic groups, but with large numbers of domestic and foreign born Hispanics
Phoenix
San Diego
Historical Hispanic Cultural Capitals - emphasis on large and established Hispanic culture from only one groups with very few foreign born Hispanics relative to the total Hispanic population.
