Isn't Atlanta nightlife extremely racially segregated?
When I lived in DC, you would see a nice mix of people in the bars/clubs/lounges in Adams Morgan, Dupont, U-Street... even in Virginia.
And you can fine diversity in certain spots in Atlanta also. Havana club, All the spots around crescent ave, Gold Room, Halo lounge, Vanquish, MJQ.. Certain spots attract a diverse crowd.. And certain spots are geared more towards certain races especially by the music they play.
I personally prefer DCs social scene. No offends but Atlanta could get ghetto real quick even in the nicer clubs. I also enjoyed being able meet an array of folks from all over the world with diverse career ambitions. Atlanta has bars and clubs in stripmalls all over the city... hmmm in DC you can go to the burbs for that.
What time frame did you live in DC? It has changed a lot in the last few years. Visiting a couple of times a year gives you a snapshot, not a realistic picture of what the day to day is.
actually i moved back in 2009, and like i said i go back a couple times a year. I have many friends and family members that live there. I think i have a pretty good ida of whats going on there, i dont think it has changed that much at all. i think whats happening is: I am changing and hopefully, you are too. you get older and you need to find new ways to meet people.
Actually DC has around 52% women and Atlanta female population is 50%
Is that City limits data or Metro? If that's city Data It means precisely nothing as 90% of the population lives outside of the city limits of what is defined as Atlanta.
