Hey dweebo, thanks again for participating in my thread.

I found some of these intriguing to say the least, the fortune cookie is one that's spread by far & wide across the globe. Pretty innocent but symbolic contribution.

Desalination of water is a more effective one, desalination is increasingly becoming more inexpensive & becoming the way to getting water to needed areas. That one, with the global weather shifts is playing a larger role in the world.

This distinction is pretty recent--New York City for example was a major manufacturing center in clothing, printing, shipbuilding, and other fields.

The thread reminds me of two signs I used to see along the Northeast Corridor rail line--"Trenton Makes, the World Takes," and "What Chester Makes Makes Chester."
