Houston will surpass Chicago in population, what nobody knows is just how long that will take. In our lifetime, possibly; possibly not.
Why is it obvious? If they stop getting more vacant land to build on, that would certainly change things...

Nope, true story my dude, the urban areas of Chicago are respected from coast to coast. Cant say the same for Houston though. My cousin and a few of his friends actually moved to SW Houston from Chicago and basically "set up shop". On the flip side, I highly doubt some dudes from SW Houston could go set up shop on 55th & Damen or 106th and Halsted (or any block for that matter) in Chicago.

Southwest Houston?? LMAO That is not nearly the worse part much of Houston. Try it in 5th ward, Acres Homes, Sunnyside, or the trey. Good luck on that by the way.

I would have educated the young man on those areas, but decided to let him believe what he wants. He would be working the corners (and for someone else) on Jenson in 5th Ward if he came down and tried to pull what he says his "cousins" are doing.

Yes Im quite aware of that, which is why the corners in Chicago I posted are for sure not peachy clean, but they are not the roughest in the city (not by a long shot). But that wasnt my point, my point was Houston dudes may get down in their own respective areas, but they couldnt travel somewhere else and do it.

Well I mean it would be stupid to leave a thriving city with a booming economy to a city....like Chicago. It's been done, example one: hip hop. Houston's hip hop scene is respected all around the nation.
