This is so difficult. My two favorite American cities after New York.
I love Philly for its grittiness, culture (foods, general attitude, accent), and proximity to Washington D.C., Baltimore, and New York. I love Boston for its colonial architecture, rowhouses, history, accent, tidiness, thriftiness, and density.

I would have to choose Boston by a slight margin, but I have to say these are two fine cities.

Boston is boring and old...the majority of folk there are grandparents or yuppies. Philly will always be a hot spot- nightlife is better, art and architecture is greater, food is outstanding and the people dress better and are more hip---they come from all kinds of walks of life. Its a TRUE American city where anything and everything can happen. The city is only building up up up. There is no comparison when its comes to these two cities. U want boring, racist, biggoted, no cultured "bros" and "hoes" kinda place then go to Boston. If u want to live in a REAL city and experience diversity then go to Philly. If ur not happy in Philly then SCRAM becuz most likely they dont want u there neways. Its the EDGY grittiness of Philly that i love. Born and raised in NYC but loving Philly for the past 7 years and plan on being here forever. =]

Well, I'm glad you were able to avoid generalizing.

^^ Troll? Whattttt? NO way!

As your typical Boston racist bigot grandpa yuppie bro, I found his post to be thoughtful, informative, unbiased, and most importantly: accurate. Boston is a cultural wasteland with no history and no nothin.

Toot on decentenuff, toot on.
