What city do you prefer and why?
Somethings to consider:
The Economy
Race Relations
The Future outlook for each city
How the Suburbs fare up again each other and Quality of life
Educational opportunities and the ranking of local schools.
Both cities have hosted Super Bowls however do you see it more likely that Indy or Detroit gets the next Super Bowl?
I personally would pick Indianapolis no doubt.
Ive been to Downtown Detroit and the area sure has come a long ways but still it just doesnt compare to Indy. Both cities in their downtown cores have alot of historical buildings however Indy has a solid core city where as Detroit's has eroded away outside of the downtown.
I think Detroit has more potential. I mean, it could possibly completely burn out and crumble to the ground before it realizes that potential, but I believe it's definitely more than Indy.

Why do I feel like you're just sniffing out ways to bash Detroit?
I've always had a good time in Detroit. There are many interesting things about the city, wonderful things to see and do, and it has a great geographic location, which makes the decay there all the more tragic. Being originally from Toledo, I feel like I somewhat get Detroit. When it comes to where I'd rather reside, Indy wins hands down. Not even close.
Spent a lot of time in each metro areas and definitely liked Detroit better.
