Is all of the east coast hood slang the same? I know the Hudson county and Bergen county area hood slang is the same as hood slang in NYC but what about everywhere else? I know that in NYC metro area(NYC, North east jersey, yonkers, long island etc.)they say "word is bond", "B" etc. But what about everywhere else on the east coast?

Just from observation like I've noticed a lot of people say "Not you (chu)".

Ex) Girl I had to go all the way across town to find a new outfit for the club
The person responding: Not you (chu) went way across town for a new outfit.
It seems to be the new trend within the last 10 years for women to refer to themselves as b*t*h
Ex) (At McDonalds): Can a b*t*h get some ketchup for these french fries.

Other slang:

posted= another word for chillin. ex) I'm just posted over here playing some xbox
ratchet= another word for hot mess ex) I cannot believe she's wearing pajamas in public that is so ratchet.
ace boons= another word for friends

I don't know what kind of "slang" you were looking for in particular but that's all i can think of off the top of my head.

I feel like it's the same everywhere. If you live in any large urban area you really can't tell the difference between say Chicago slang or Philly slang. Minor differences sure but all in all I feel urban slang is the same throughout pretty much the entire country (of course that's my opinion).

For the most part I agree but there's parts of the country where the differences are very noticeable. The Bay is definitely one of those places.

Not necessarily slang, but I've noticed some Eastcoast cats love to use catch phrases that they can rapidly yell out, which can sometimes sound a little corny:

Let's Go!
Get dis!
I'm a fan!
Blap!
Bawwllin'!
Where you at?!

I've always found Houston slang (What it do? Already. Finna. Ho-ass sh't. Trill) and Bay Area slang to be the most colorful and fun. Of course, I doubt this isn't everyday speech for everyone. Because I doubt everyone walks around talking like a rapper.

I think you guys up in the NYC metro area also like to say "kid" a lot...as well as "thun", "goon", "buggin", "word/werd", "son", "ayo", and "deadass".

Down here in the DMV (DC metro area), we like to say "yung/yun", "clappas", "bamma", "ji", "wellin", "fakin' like", "joe", "moe", "sparkin", "kirk", "joanin", "bait", "real live", "joint/jont", "slim", "lunchin", "mainman", "cuz", "muggin", "chillin/coolin", "geekin", "suspect/mad suspect", "tight", "steal you", "sahn", "whole time/whole t", "irking", "dats dead", "put on blast", "roller", "face/faceass", "crank/crankin", "ay", etc. I swear, we got some of the weirdest, most "exotic" urban slang on the East Coast and we're quite proud of it in all honesty

Ay yung, peace out for now! Imma see y'all C-D poster bammas later LOL
