Actually, in all seriousness, there could well be a practical side to the question. A number of movements have arisen (and, for the most part, subsequently disappeared) over the course of time in which people from different parts of the country called for the formation of new, sovereign states. Obviously the Confederacy is an example, but I'm referring more to separatist movements like Atzlán in the American Southwest, Cascadia in the PNW, and even "Californians for Independence." The reasons behind these movements differ, but they all beg the question, Could we do without? So I rescind my initial dismissal of the topic as frivolous, but still maintain that any potential argument over it that might come up on the CD board would, probably, be ridiculous.
Frivolous thread, but humourous enough. Does Rhode Island contribute significantly to any aspect of our nation? (Aside from providing comedic fodder for Farrelly Bros. movies ) And yes, I have been to "Lil Rhody."
Well, Family Guy just wouldn't be the same.
My vote is Delawhere though. No offense to Delawareans (?) but it should just be a part of PA and MD and doesn't really add a whole lot...

Providence has a Dave & Buster's, and that alone makes it okay in my book!
