Interesting Read in the other thread. The Consensus was that Chicago is more in line with Cities like Boston or San Francisco than in a Class with New York. But what about that other Bohemeth Los Angeles, it's been left out of the Conversation all together, which got me curious. Is Los Angeles in a class with New York, or Closer in Stature to Chicago

You Decide
Is Los Angeles Closer to New York or Chicago in Global Clout/Culture/Economy/Etc

As far as economic output probably Chicago. But when it comes to global recognition and relevance LA is a lot closer to NYC. I’d say it’s in the middle

This is about right. Maybe slightly closer to Chicago than NY, but LA is pretty equidistant because Chicago isn't all that close to LA...

LA is about as close to NY as any city has been to NY since maybe Chicago of the late 19th/early 20th city. I'm not sure when NY last had a 1:1 peer but its unbelievable the ground LA has covered in basically 120 years...

LA is one of the great cities in the world(Top 10). NYC is arguably the greatest city in the world(No.1 or No.2).

I would say overall, LA is in the middle between NYC and Chicago. Manhattan is still unparalleled in this country.

Are you putting San Francisco this high based off of its technology sector?
