Downstate New York or Southern California out right..but when Quality of Life and Cost of living are factored , I think it goes to North Texas or Middle Tenneasee as these regions are very propersous and affordable

quality and life and cost of living are entirely different concepts. they don't go hand in hand. the more expensive places generally have better quality of life - that's why they're more expensive.
Noo, Quality of life and cost of living are related Many New Yorkers can't even attend a Broadway Show cause of their $2400 dollar rent, what kind of quality of life is that,...I see what your saying though,..those bigger places do have more amenities

Houston is not in South Texas it is in South east Texas and more east texas than South Texas
Greater Houston can actually be considered its own unique region. But for the purposes of this thread, it is South Texas. After all, it is in the southern portion of the state.
9) Northern Georgia ( Atlanta, Gwinnett County, Cobb County, Sandy Spings)
10) Upstate Illinois ( Chicagoland)
11) Metrolina ( Metro Charlotte North Carolina & South Carolina)
12) Northern Virginia ( DC surburbs, The Pentagon, Washington DC Area)
No bias here? Nowhere else is there a subjective statement in this list of 12 metros.
