Read Fastphilly's post for the answer. This is going to be a Houston bash-fest. Sorry if I implied that trolling was your intention. Maybe it wasn't, but I bet this is going to turn out badly for Houston.

I just moved to Houston and I love it down here...aside from the bad drivers and heat...its great.
I made alot of friends.
Black hispanic asian...
My job is great.
The neighborhood is fantastic..The grocery prices are okay and theres way too many things to down here.
Is san fran really that great..I thought L.A. was crime capitol?
How so? I thought Houston Tx was a heavyweight in itself with its cheap col, strong job market, diverse restuarant scene, and shopping.
The only positives you can make for Houston/Dallas over the Bay Area is low cost of living. Still, look at the environment around you in Houston. It's flat, poor air quality and unbearably hot. Let's not discuss what the city has for the visiting traveler because it get's even uglier.
To summarize, San Francisco and Los Angeles have a draw that's exclusive to those cities that you won't find in any other city. I can visit Houston and get the same experience and vibe in Dallas and Atlanta. Houston doesn't offer anything that's exclusive to Houston and that's essential for a city to become a draw for future residents and visitors alike.
Once Houston develops a culture that's exclusive to Houston and develops their inner core for a better urban fabric than perhaps in the future things may change but as of now if I was blindfolded and didn't know what city I was going to and then was unleashed in downtown Houston I wouldn't know if I was in Dallas, Phoenix, Charlotte or Atlanta.
