I'm not that familiar, but why would a person living in Ft Worth and looking for a larger city consider Austin?

I'm being sarcastic. I'm saying Seattle doesn't have many black people at all...

More than you would think. It's no Atlanta, but there are enough Black people here to have a decent AA culture. It's not like Boise.

It is losing population, but that doesn't mean it's dying. Chicago is losing population too. When areas revitalize, high-rise tenements and public housing get town down, and smaller condominiums go up. A poor family of six gets pushed out of their two-bedroom flat, and a young couple straight out of grad school moves in, leading to a net loss of population.

Yeah, a lot of Cleveland is still pretty scuzzy - for sure -, but downtown Cleveland, Ohio City, and Lakewood are nicer than ever. Much like Pittsburgh, Cleveland is a great bargain for the money, and it's on the upswing.

I've never been, and have no idea if it feels more "big city" than Ft. Worth, I've just heard it has nice people and a great live music scene, which would be a major plus.

The difference is though, Chicago Metro is not losing pop., while Cleveland Metro is, if it's on the upswing, all these people wouldnt be leaving

As I said, much of the city is still sketchy, but not all. I actually felt the same way as you before I visited. Here are some pics:

You just described seattle exactly. Yes there are black people all my friends are black! There's really no ice in seattle, it doesn't get cold enough. There is a great music scene, and buds legal. So I would suggest you come up here and join the music movement up here it's great. Btw, there's a hellofa lotta indie artists up here too! And everybody hikes up here
