Best Dating Scene: too subjective to answer. But both are large, diverse population centers so really shouldn't be a problem in either place.
I'll say one big thing is that the people in Miami just suck. LA people are more down to earth and friendlier despite the stereotypes
I am in no way defending all the people of Miami because there are a lot of self centered egomaniacs here but LA being down to earth? Maybe the suburban people are nice (as are the ones in greater Miami) but the "it" crowd is insufferable in Los Angeles and that's what a tourist sees in the touristy places. being that I live in tourist central, I simply don't find Miami to be as bad.
Los Angeles is nothing but Sprawl, the only part I like is Santa Monica/Long Beach Area/ some of downtown.
Miami is MUCH more urban , has a better feel of culture, is more tropical, has a better skyline/downtown and is much more Vibrant.
The only thing about this statement that's true is Miami is more tropical. That's it.
