WOW... So, to my surprise (cause after having lived in NY, I CERTAINLY don't understand THIS vote) people are voting that NEW YORK CITY is MORE BEAUTIFUL than.... MIAMI?!?!?!?

Ummm............................ I'm calling BS.

I love NY too, but BEAUTIFUL? I have a hard time seeing "beauty" in NYC. I'm thinking people just want to vote Miami out (not surprised being this is C-D). I can't say they aren't voting objectively, because the vote is supposed to be based solely on opinion, not fact... BUT, I just really find it hard to believe that more people honestly believe & have the opinion that New York City is not only dominant in most other areas, but ALSO more "BEAUTIFUL" than a tropical city like MIAMI... Anyone agree?

And, before people get going thinking I'm a Miami homer... Just know I've never lived in Miami.
Don't particularly care for Miami either. And I HATE Miami Heat & Marlins! Lol

My biased cities are already out the tournament

Just confused by that one. Wondering if anyone can explain

Stop whining about who people are voting for. Just let people vote and keep quiet until it's over.

In terms of just the two cities, Miami has palm trees and homogenous condo high rises; NYC has beautiful brownstones and art deco skyscrapers from the 1920s.

In that way, NYC is MUCH more beautiful than Miami.

However, South Florida IS a lot more beautiful than the NJ-NY-CT area. So I voted for Miami/Ft.Lauderdale.

In some comparisons the natural scenery of the area was enough for me to outweigh (like LA over Boston), and in some the urban scenery/architecture was (like NYC over Miami and New Orleans over Denver). Philly versus Chicago was interesting as Chicago has the more beautiful skyscrapers and big city landscapes and Lake Michigan but I prefer the homes/architecture in Philly, the more narrow and older streetscape and the natural scenery in the area.
