This is how is Dubai summer weather , the real figures not the one declared by officials to protect tourism industry from collapse in summer

Please advise how this is compared to Houston or Dallas

From June onwards, daytime temperatures are always around 40 degrees Celsius = 104 F, and July is the hottest month with temperatures hovering around 45 C = 113 F, even reaching Average humidity is between 70 - 90% during the day,

Just look at weather.com or weather underground. I have a friend who lives in Dubai. We are not even close to how hot it is there. He says it is just unreal. Houston summers are not as bad as everyone makes it out to be.

I lived in Dubai for 2 years, Houston is nothing compared to Dubai in humidity. Their humidity is on another level especially during the summer it gets so hot and is even somewhat unbearable(this is coming from a born and raised Houstonian), a huge portion leaves the country to their home country for vacation

It seems that Dubai is a bit cooler than where I am now (Liwa, Abu Dhabi). There are days in last August which it got up to 49/51 degree C (120/123 degree F) range for a duration of 10 days.

Houston in August/Sept could get up to 41 Deg C, but then Tropical depressions/storms or hurricanes will bring in the rains and cool it off.

i lived in the mideast for 10+ years, and then came to the US. been in houston for 6 years. now if i go back, even when its in the 90s, my head lights up and i start getting headaches.

its just something you will need to get adjusted too..when i lived there, we would go out and play bball in the afternoon when its was 100-115 and be fine with it. just depends on how long it takes for you to get adjusted.

I was in Dubai last November and at night I remember sweating like a pig. November in Houston is great weather.

Its interesting that you are comparing Dubai with Houston. I would compare humidity in Dubai or the middle east region with arizona or vegas during June-July peak but then too it isn't as bad as in Dubai. In that weather you cannot walk outside during day time. It is extreme heat and humidity which we are lucky we don't have it in Houston atleast.

What do you expect when people are whining when the temperature gets to 80F?
