At least six of the people you mentioned, their only connection to Atlanta is that they were either born there and raised elsewhere, or that they were born and raised elsewhere and moved Atlanta in adulthood. And then there are some on your list who were raised in other small towns in GA, and not ATL. And then the other 40 or so of them that WERE actually born n raised in Atlanta, are the ones who fell off musically. You would have been better off mentioning the Up-N-Comers from Atlanta like Rich Homie and Migos, instead of listing some of the has-beens(Like honestly, Cherish? Cherish was only BET famous, and for only like 5 months. Those 4 sisters haven't done much since). But either way, Kanye West was the most egregious name you mentioned. He was born in Atlanta, and moved to Chicago when he was 3. He's made it PRETTY CLEAR multiple times throughout his career that he reps Chicago. And he spends most of his downtime at his home in Los Angeles.

A lot of these people were famous but fell-off...let's keep it current. Right Now, ATL rappers are still producing hits, but are any of these new guys Rich Homie Quan, Future, Young Thung, Migos, here to stay? Maybe Future & 2 Chainz.
You guys have some great producers, but the lyrical content is just not there anymore. It's become all about the party. Outkast, T.I, Ludacris, Jeezy and the rest of ATL got so hot because they truly had some of the best rappers in the game; in terms of flow and lyrics. Today, there are just better rappers on the coast and Chicago plain and simply.

Jeezy is garbage and always has been. Good beats tho. But he's marginally a step up from Gucci mane.
Def agree... Although ATL has a really good infrastructure when it comes to hip hop. ATL will always be one of the pillar cities along with LA & NY, but part of me feels like ATL rap is reaching its disco stage. Seems like power is moving to the coasts and Chicago (I think drill is temporary tho).
It won't last long in Chicago because they out there killing each other.
The Guardian knew their list would ignite another infamous city data hip hop thread.
