COL: Not Seattle / QOL: Tie? Probably Pittsburgh third.
Urban amenities: Seattle
Education (higher): Seattle has the more educated population, but I'll go with Pittsburgh for higher education facilities.
Skyline: Seattle
Architecture: Tie?
Public Transit: Pittsburgh? Not sure.
Food: Seattle (Seafood / Asian)
Music: Seattle
Nightlife/Entertainment: Seattle
Where you'd want to live overall: Seattle then a tie between the other two. Wouldn't mind living in any of them.

COL/QOL: I'd say Minneapolis...kind of best of both worlds between Pittsburgh (low col) and Seattle (high col but high qol)
Urban amenities: Seattle> Pittsburgh & Minneapolis (tie)
Education (higher): Pittsburgh for institutions, Seattle and Minneapolis for educated population
Skyline: Tie between Pittsburgh and Seattle
Architecture: Pittsburgh
Public Transit: Seattle>Minneapolis>Pittsburgh
Food: Seattle
Music: Seattle>Minneapolis>Pittsburgh
Nightlife/Entertainment: Seattle
Where you'd want to live overall: I'd be happy in any and they are all close in these critera, but probably Pittsburgh (just because it's home)

COL/QOL: Seattle is expensive, but the QOL is definitely high for those that can afford it. Pittsburgh is the cheapest, albeit with a relatively high QOL as well. Minneapolis sits pretty in the middle.

I like all of these cities. Pittsburgh has that old world charm (relatively speaking, it is the US) like many of the older Eastern cities, while Seattle is an "it" city currently. Minneapolis, like Seattle, is well educated and affluent. With the mountains and water in Seattle, the lakes in Minneapolis, and the hills in Pittsburgh, you can't lose really. If I had to rank them, I'd put Seattle in front, with a slight edge to Minneapolis over Pittsburgh.

Minneapolis and Seattle are essentially a wash. They're so similar it's hard to even rank them in a lot of these categories, and for everything one city definitely does better, the other does something else better.
They all have an educated population, are roughly similar in size (Seattle is a bit of an outlier, but not unreasonably so), have high quality of life, and don't seem to be compared often on city data. Minneapolis and Pittsburgh are both underrated as well, and I was interested as to how they would be compared to a more lauded city in Seattle.
Pittsburgh is the outlier - Seattle is only 150k bigger than Minneapolis, and Pittsburgh is more than a million smaller than both of them.

Depends on which metric you use. 200k larger at the MSA level and 600k larger at the CSA level. Both are quite a bit bigger than Pittsburgh at this point.
