It's an easy place to bash. It has a couple of "tourist attractions", but has nothing to offer from a quality of life standpoint. Look how few people live there - there are hardly any residents. And I'm referring to downtown, not midtown or Buckhead which have somewhat decent population density. At least by Atlanta standards.

The Georgia Aquarium is the most interesting thing in downtown Atlanta. And it's not even the best downtown aquarium I've been to.

I thought this thread was about downtown Atlanta vs Savannah.

Why is Toronto even in this discussion?

That's a good question. I'm not going to have another thread hijacked because of this "Toronto" nonsense.

I happen to think The Tabby is the most interesting spot in downtown Atlanta.

Savannah is too small. After awhile I would get bored.

It lacks a Georgia State,AUC, and the vibrancy of the Centennial Olympic Park area but Savaan does well also
Uh ... SCAD has done FAR FAR FAR more for Downtown Savannah than GSU has done for Downtown Atlanta. (AUC isn't in downtown, BTW.)

And the vibrancy of City Market and River Street in Savannah blows Centennial Park out of the water ... literally.

Have you been to Savannah ... lately?! It's on fire!

I have and I love it!
I dont disagree that SCAD has done more for Savannah.

Im talking more so the dept.GSU is a huge school with a huge economic reach.
I was referring to the area that includes and surrounds COP.All the attractions and COP itself

Where is the AUC if its not downtown? Its not even a mile from the Georgia Dome.

It is in Vine City and / or West End. Nothing west of Northside Drive can be called "downtown."

I would think somebody from ATL would know this.

Haven't been to Savannah, but can't imagine it's worse than Atlanta.
