Great thread!!!!!

Here's some randoms from the Midwest:

Chicago:
Old guy in 60's that looks young (no specific race - any race). Aged around the eyes. Tough bone structure, yet weathered. Tall and muscular for his age. Inspirational to everyone who meets him. Has strong qualities and personality. Outspoken. Wears old sports clothes often, favorite jacket is a bears jacket from the 80s. Very smart and wealthy but doesn't flaunt it. Worked hard his whole life. Lives in a brick city home with a small yard. Had lots of kids. Everyone loves his humor and charming personality. Has great stories and always shares with everyone, who all also happen to love them. Was a war hero and travelled all around the world. Has MANY friends. Girls and gals always loved him. His whole family comes in for Thanksgiving and and christmas and they all stay at his home. Super generous with grand kids and people around him. When he dies, his funeral will be the largest most celebrated the town ever saw.

No one mentioned (by surprise):
Saint Louis
Similar looking older brother to Chicago, except shorter and a little darker in complexion, also weathered. Bone structure not as strong as Chicago. Never as popular as his younger brother but shares many of the same principles and qualities. Quiet but often has great stories to tell, especially when he drinks, of his travels and adventures. Used to be really popular in in youth and on the road to greatness, but as time grew made some bad decisions, taking his good times for granted, started doing drugs, and never really fulfilled his potential. Parents were always disappointed with him. Worked really hard to turn life around, and sometimes still has problems. People that know him closely, all love him. Many people know OF him but don't really know him nor take the time to know him due to their interest in his younger brother Chicago. Regretting stupid decisions in his youth and now focusing on enjoying easy going life with his loving wife, and making sure his kids don't make mistakes like he did. Lives in an old urban brick home with a small yard.

Kansas City:
Middle Aged, white upper middle class, ordinary dad, yet very friendly and charming. Has a lot of friends. Lives a great life, blessed, with a good looking wife and kids in the suburbs. Smart, intelligent, great cook, has travelled and seen parts of the world. Young vibe, doesn't want to give up his youth. His family is well respected in the community, and wife has a lot of friends she gossips with. Likes playing golf on saturday with buddies.

One for kicks:
Indianapolis
Guy who never really left his town ever. In high school kind of a no namer, as in college, ...and his whole life. Nice but never really had substance. Drives a 98 camry. Doesn't have any sense of fashion or style, yet thinks he does. Doesn't have many friends. Wears clothes that were in style 10 years ago. Always invites people over to his house to hang out, some come, but everyone secretly feels like they never have a great time with him, and feel a bit uncomfortable. Nice, yet eh. He's just kind of there. Thinks he's friends with everyone, but no one will recognize him at his high school reunion. Went to a state university and ends up getting a job in insurance kind of doing ordinary things his whole life. He's an only child and his dad and mom were too. Ends up being single his whole life following his job around, and has never been laid, only reached 2nd base in high school. Likes to drink occassionally at applebees for happy hour with lame co workers. Can make some friends temporarilly but never long lasting. Had dreams to do amazing things but never had the balls to go for them. Thinks dreamers are silly. Takes his practicality to the extreme, very numbers driven, and as a result never did anything story worthy.

I would say Minneapolis is a ditzy, flambouantly gay guy who hangs out with a semi-good-looking, very opinionated, single mother of five. Neither of them are employed, and think the government owes them a free ride AND that the U.S. should solve the entire world's problems. Kinda like Washington and Oregon, except a lot colder and less-scenic (and without the white supremacists).

Sorry to be so negative about the land of a jillion mosquitos...

Also - Northern Florida: an elderly lady who smokes Virginia Slims, thinks Jimmy Buffet is God, has leathery, brown skin, drives a white Lexus, hates the heat AND the cold, and wears flip-flops 24/7. This lady has a son with a few missing teeth, drives a 4X4 pickup (complete with a hemi, noisy pipes, a NASCAR sticker, and a 13" lift kit), and has spent the majority of his waking life drinking beer with a fishing rod in his hand. He has a daughter who dresses like a complete ***** and lives life as if she were going to die tomorrow. She gets D's in college, and thinks it's OK.

chitownwarrior, I have some more for the Midwest.

Minneapolis: A young blond female who never had alot of popularity early in life, but became loved for being so "nice". She is open-minded and liberal, sometimes annoyingly liberal. She worked hard early on and his sharing the wealth with others now. She strives to be newer and more hip, but isn't spoiled by it.

St. Paul is MPLS twin brother. He didn't have much popularity either. He worked hard early on like his sister, and enjoys his fruits quietly. He has a blue collar ethic and doesn't mind if he is old world.

Des Moines is a 35-year old man who works in the insurance field. He runs the show, but does so quietly. He stands out from the rest of his siblings because he didn't take a job that had to do with farming, but went to college and got a degree.

Waterloo,IA and Davenport,IA They are maternal twins. They are considered the "illegitimate" children of Iowa. They are considered the troublemakers. While Waterloo tries to fit in with his Iowa relatives, Davenport is having fun being Illinois surrogate child.

Grand Rapids,MI He is a middle-aged man of Dutch descent who has managed to survive the hard effects of the Rust Belt. He likes to make furniture, relatively conservative compared to the rest of his siblings, and very religious. He looks for new ways to improve things.

Cincinnati is a 40 year-old businessman who works for Proctor and Gamble by day and does nothing at night. He has more in common with his neighbor to the South, Covington, than his does with Columbus or Cleveland, but looks down on his neighbor as "hick".

I have more and not just the midwest either.

Here is Duluth The ignored and different sibling who lives in the basement far away from everyone. While his siblings to the south are major success stories, he has already failed at one thing already and trying other things. He is still Minnesota's child.

Gary, IN is a black man who made a good living doing one particular thing, but his skills fell out of favor with the public and he is currently unemployed looking for other marketable skills. The rest of his siblings don't talk about him and are embarrassed of him. His odyssey mirrors that of Duluth. He tries to remember what once was and looks for the good in the future.

New Orleans He is like the party animal big brother who has accessto porn magazines, illicit booze, and mary jane and has plenty to share. It doesn't matter to him that much that his house is full of rats or that his house floods every year because he is too busy having a good time to notice. Even if some of his siblilngs don't like it, he runs the show. He is the influential person and sometimes is corrupt for it.

Mobile is the cousin of New Orleans, but to a certain extent. Even though he is a party animal like his cousin New Orleans, he perfers beer to moonshine, would rather go to the beach and tries to be clean. Unlike New Orleans, Mobile doesn't run the show for the rest of his Alabama siblings. He is pretty much left to himself with the rest of his Gulf Coast buddies.

Baltimore - A black man or woman that was on the right path, but began to decline when they began to hang out with the wrong crowd. Started doing drugs, and ultimately ruined their future. However, they are slowly but surely getting their life together. They won't be the same person that they were before they began to decline, but they are definitely making a positive comeback.

Indianapolis - The kid in class that's always quiet. He's very friendly, but he seems to be forgotten about. He has his moments of fame, but is quickly forgotten about by others. A cool person, but very shy.

Prince George's County (I know it's not a city but I wanted to do it) - An opulent black teenager with successful parents. Known for having money, yet they choose to hide it. They wouldn't survive a day hanging out with Birmingham or New Orleans, yet claim that's how they live.

Gary, Indiana - A black man that was once really close to big brother Detroit and cousin Chicago. Detroit and Gary were best friends, while Chicago and Gary were just friends. Gary hung out with Detroit a lot more than Chicago. Once Detroit began making bad choices, Gary followed. Got caught up with drugs and crime, and is far from recovering. Gary looked to Chicago for help, but all Chicago did was give Gary more problems. Chicago was too supercilious to help Gary out, and sent as much drugs and crime as possible to Gary. Gary seemed to have gotten on it's feet, but fell down extremely hard, and won't be getting better any time soon.

Chicago - The lofty, and somewhat uppity son of the Midwest that looks down on all of his family, feeling he can't be associated with them. Always compares itself to his peers Los Angeles and New York. He has a lot going for himself, yet he feels inferior. He claims he isn't, but everyone can tell.

Youngstown Ohio:
At one time this Italian immigrant who came from a family who bairly survived the trip from the old country joined forces with the mafia. For many years he was successful selling steel and paying off politicians. Eventually his steel empire collapsed, his mafia connections exposed and tragically, he killed himself. A few years later a crackhead stole his identity, boarded up his house and burnt it down, after stealing the copper plumbing.
