Toledo, Ohio - Blue-collar factory worker who is very, very pro-union. Usually is a democrat but is not the progressive type. Constantly complains about Toledo but never leaves. His 18 year old daughter is already married with 3 kids.
Cincinnati, Ohio - Is afraid of their own shadow. Is in denial that they live in a city with city problems. Very insular and often asks what highscool you attended so they can size you up. Only goes downtown for sporting events. After said sporting event ends, quickly heads back to the burbs to go eat at an Applebees.
When she was an infant, everyone assumed she would grow up to have a life as a software designer. But now that she is entering her teenage years, she's lost interest in AOL and is developing a passion for biology and genetics. It is clear her future lies in scientific research of some sort.
She already has a bunch of boyfriends, and when she gets older she'll be courted by many suitors. But for now she has a huge crush on Howard Hughes (Medical Institute). She's gone out of her way to welcome him into her home, and he's been very nice to her.
Atlanta is like a 30 year-old professional who sleeps at his little sister's house in Alpharetta because he's afraid of his own home. Talks liberal, but won't live near anyone.
San Francisco is like the rich uncle that has lots of money, but doesn't flaunt it like his sister LA. Doesn't care for a Benz, but doesn't mind fine dining.
San Diego is like a laid back surfer. Doesn't have everything and doesn't care. He's just trying to have a good time and people flock to him for being him. He is less selfish and less materialistic than his sister LA(he cannot stand his sister LA). A long-lost twin brother of San Antonio, though less of a party animal.
San Diego is a young man, about 28 years old, who has a lot going for him. He's half white, 1/2 Mexican (of pure Spanish descent). He's got the babes, plenty of money (all inherited from the Angeles family), good looks, charms, and lives in one of the most gorgeous parts of the world, in a beautiful house right by the ocean. He's extremely fit and healthy. Everybody seems to be his best friend-- and strangely, Diego doesn't really have to do anything to make friends-- they all come to him, from all over! He doesn't really have a job, other than teaching surfing lessons at Pacific Beach for fun. In fact, on the surface level, people thing he's so great that he's appeared on People Magazine's "Best Looking Celebrity." So perfect, and yet he has quite a few character flaws, which only become apparent when you really get to know him. For one, he drives his Ferrari sports car extremely fast and aggressively, freaking out the other drivers on the road-- contrary to his "laid back" image. Though calm and mellow 95% of the time, he can also work up quite a temper, starting fires and earthquakes if he gets mad.
His biggest flaw though is he is extremely stingy, both with his friends and the girls he dates. Even though he has more money than he could ever know what to do with, he secretly thinks everybody is out just to get his money, and turns his nose down on his guy and girl friends who aren't as rich as him. He has a cruel habit of dating hot girls, making them think they're in love with him, going out for several months, even moving in with him for awhile, and then dumping them after he performs a credit check-- which isn't up to his high standards most of the time.
Phoenix is San Diego's scandalous, fat, and ugly half-sister. One day, San Diego's dad, (Senor Angeles), was on a business trip in Chicago, got really drunk, and got laid with cheap hooker on the street (who shall remain nameless) and got her pregnant. The hooker, horrified that she became pregnant, but wanting to have the baby nonetheless, decided to start a new life out west-- close enough to Los Angeles (Senor Angeles foolishly left a business card with her so she knew where he lives) so she could regularly go there to extort money from the family (in return for keeping quiet about the sex scandal-- after all, Senor's Angeles' own wife was pregnant with Diego at the time!), but far enough where she could live on her own. She chose a vast piece of desert land in the middle of Arizona. She named her baby daughter Phoenix-- like a bird rising out of the ashes of her disgraced life, destined to become something greater.
Everybody in the greater California, Arizona, and Nevada families who knows anything knows that Phoenix (along with Vegas-- but that's a whole different story) is in fact San Diego's half-sister and Senor Angeles' daughter (they didn't do a very good job covering up the scandal), but nobody wants to admit it. Putting the scandal aside (which, as time goes on, becomes less and less important), the two half-siblings have seemingly little in common. For one thing, Phoenix is FAT and short-- a 1000 pound gorilla of woman! When she was young, Phoenix was actually fairly attractive-- not sexy, but not an eyesore either. Problem is, as people from Chicago pining for sunshine and people from California unable to afford the Angeles' family's notoriously high real estate prices kept pouring in to the Valley of the Sun, left and right, Phoenix didn't know how to handle everybody moving in so quick (she was used to wide open spaces and plenty of room for everybody), and developed a massive eating disorder. Over the last fiften years (she is currently 28-- same age as San Diego) she has gained weight exponentially. Phoenix is also a lot uglier and cruder than she was when she was just a young girl. She has developed a bad smoking habit. She has incredibly low self esteem-- she frequently ends up in abusive relationships with guys from Mexico who come over to take advantage of her.
It's not all doom and gloom though. Even though on surface levels, San Diego seems more friendly and charming, Phoenix is a lot more "real." Her brother Diego, though somewhat grudgingly, lets Phoenix stay over at his place every summer when the Arizona heat gets brutal. Even though Phoenix itself is an eyesore, a bunch of her sons are fairly attractive, and they live nearby, closer to the McDowell mountains. These young punks, around 16 years old, are able to accomplish what Phoenix herself squandered, and actually have a degree of respectability. One of these guys, Scott, who lives in Scottsdale, is a minor celebrity in his own right (although he has somewhat of an inferiority complex, wanting to show off to his cousins Vegas, Beverly Hills, and Newport, even though they are far richer than him). Tempe is smart, college educated, but he's very quirky, somewhat of a hippie-- just doing his own thing. Mesa, on the other hand, a daughter of Phoenix, takes after her mother's fatness and ugliness.
Educated, liberal, and open minded, and also gay, San Fransisco has become quite the popular gent. How ever his uniqueness as an individual causes him to be the target of many angry people.
Thats why his older half brother OAKLAND always has his back. Blue collar, half black, and at times a straight up thug no one messes with oakland. Heck even TUPAC had to move down to LA. Oakland has been showing signs of strain over the years. The stress of backing up San Fran and San Jose as well as keeping blue collar work from leaving has left oakland tired and in need of fresh youthful engery.
San Jose the youngest never liked Oakland or SF that much, despite all the stuff they have done for him. The fact that San Jose is one of the biggest if not the biggest computer nerd in the country has always made him well...socially ackward. Oakland always had his back, and SF always attracted intersting entrepenuers who liked San Jose's proximity to SF. San jose how ever hated being associated with his "gangsta" brother oakland, and was deeply jealous of the fact that even though he was much bigger man than his older brother SF, SF still seemed to be everyoens favorite. All is well in the family how ever and as the bay brothers they stick together despite their differences. They know a house divided can not stand.
Besides they are alot better of than their fat and sprawling redneck cousings Sacramento and Stockton. Both of whom have a bit of a *crystal meth* problem.

Washington D.C. 35 year old white guy wearing an expensive, but very conservative and boring suit, carrying the Wall St. Journal with him everywhere. Has a bag of cocaine hidden in his inside pocket for later.
San Francisco 20 something year old white girl with clothes bought from a thrift store and flip flops. Smells like pine.
Atlanta 20 or 30 something year old black guy, well groomed, with expensive polo shirt, well ironed but untucked, expensive but slightly baggy jeans, white nike air-force one tennis shoes, expensive watch
Miami middle aged Cuban woman with tight shirt and pants, high heels, lots of jewelry and make-up. lots of cheap perfume. flashy, but still looks good for her age.
Memphis black male teen, cornrolls, nba jersey, baggy inexpensive jeans, expensive air jordan's, one gold tooth, angry look on his face
San Diego young white blond, skimpy shirt, skimpy shorts, flip flops, oblivious look on her face

Bakersfield- the redneck child. Has more in common with Oklahoma than California. Estranged from everyone in California, even its Central Valley siblings Fresno and Sacramento.
Colorado Springs- wealthy, conservative military male. Spends wealth building big churches. Conservative to a different tune, not like the rest of the Sun Belt metros.

He's kinda scruffy and rough looking but can be suprisingly handsome at times.
COLUMBUS Quiet companion of Toledo. Better groomed and well kept than his tough neighborhood friends. He went off to college while they started at the local autoplant. Now people are suprised how big and wealthy he's become. Still doesn't have as big a reputation as his neighborhood friends though.
Atlanta Young cocky (but friendly) black guy who even as a little boy had lots of potential and noteriety in his area. Now he's got a Masters Degree and is a real over achiever. Likes to show off a little too much at the expense of not handling important business. Lived up North and Overseas awhile so has picked up alot of 'yankee' ways but still has some undeniably southern traits. Cares a whole lot what other people think of him (probably too much).

Yeah Toledo is Birmingham's half-brother. That description sounds like Birmingham (also an old industrial city with Italian, Greek, and Lebanese population) but it's in the South.
Birmingham is the bastard child of the Rust Belt and the Deep South. The Rust Belt had an affair with the Deep South and would never admit she had his child. He has several children of his own back at home with his own wife - Detroit, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Toldeo, Cleveland, and Buffalo. Birmingham is the half-brother of all of these cities, but very few people know about it. Birmingham was accepted along with all of Deep South's other children - Memphis, Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville, and New Orleans. But they always knew that something about him was DIFFERENT...................it's a deep, dark secret Deep South would rather ignore, LOL.

Ok, Everybody knows Birmingham's mother is Deep South but your telling me his Dad is Rust Belt? That explains alot I do see the resemblance. I can understand Rust Belt not claiming him as his northern friends look down on Mrs. South and would not approve of his 'sluming'. And she won't admit who the father is because she's supposed to be such a nice dignified lady (even though everyone know's about her trailor park past). Thanks for that juicy tid bit .
