Weather-Boston definitely. They had their snowiest winter ever this year. I think there are still remnants of the huge piles of snow, now compressed into mini-glaciers mixed with trash and other debris. You just don't get weather like that in Boise.

Job opportunities- Both cities offer opportunities for doctors and lawyers and such but in Boise you also farm potatoes and practice taxidermy. Advantage Boise!

Nightlife- Not sure. Both offer internet connections to binge watch shows on Netflix.

Big city feel- Boise has much larger city limits, giving it a much larger feel.

Downtown- Boston. It has all those cute historic buildings, parks, and statues.

Diversity- Boise. There are people there from every county in Idaho. In Boston, it is hard to find a single person from any county in ID.

Public transit- Boise. Boston's narrow streets are a real b**** to drive on.

Food- Which do you prefer? Fresh veggies from the farm? If so, Boise. Do you like food that comes from the ocean? Then Boston is for you.

Which do you prefer and why? Well, I think my choice is obvious.

Welcome to the board OP. Great and interesting first post!

In Boise you can get a 3000 sq ft house for around $200,000
In Boston you can get a 600 sq ft condo for $300,000
Boise is also closer to Seattle
advantage----Boise

Boise because it's not as built-up. Many less people and less traffic jams.

Do you have a specific motivation for comparing these cities?

Boise is much smaller and more remote than Boston in every way. One is in the mountain west and surrounded by outdoors activities. The other is an east coast financial and intellectual center. Two very different vibes and mentalities.

Obviously Boise!

It's the city of trees, for crying out loud!

No city in the US can compare.

Boise ID and Boston have as much in common as Saddam Hussein and George W Bush.
