Tampa is significantly hotter; it's more humid and has more direct sunlight. So if you like it hot, Tampa wins. If you like it more mild, Chicago:

No point to include September, that's fall. Even June is questionable is in the midwest since it's often late spring.

I have zero "obsession" with Chicago, I just have a lot of experience with it, since it's just south of me. You, however, are absolutely obsessed with hot weather, and every comment you make is wholly based on that personality quirk.

Tampa is hotter, not way hotter unless you think 5 degrees is way hotter. I don't. It's ok though, I live in Miami Beach I perfectly know the weather here, and I lived in the midwest, so I know the weather there too.

These are from the airport. Depending on where you are in the city of Chicago, temperatures could be different. The lakefront is always a few degrees colder than even a mile or two west of it and the Loop even inland is always a few degrees colder than even north of the river.
September is not fall until the end of the month. The tempratures in an average september are still in the upper 70s/low 80s for a good chunk of the month. The historical average for every day except September 30th is at least 70 degrees: http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/chi...onyr=9/01/2014
Tampa is definitely hotter on average though - no question about it.
Tampa for sure is hotter! Chicago barely has anything that qualifies as summer at all in my book. Plus look at the lows! When your low for the day is in the mid 70s (probably occurring between 3-4 am) then you have HOT weather.
