Tacoma WA or Pittsburgh PA?
Tacoma WA. I get that Pittsburgh offers more big cities amenities. I just prefer the PNW, plus Seattle's only 40 minutes away, and so is Mt. Rainier.

Carson City NV or Jefferson City MO?

Carson City with its abundant sunshine and proximity to Tahoe and the Sierras wins this easily for me.

Ames IA or Auburn AL?

Auburn for me. Like it's location near Columbus and not terribly far from Birmingham or Atlanta. Clarksville TN or Pueblo CO?

Both places have crime rates that are higher than I prefer, with Albuquerque being a little worser. So I'll go with Tucson.

Las Vegas, NM, or Truth or Consequences, NM?

Las Vegas. The oldest town in TX Nacogdoches or the oldest town in FL San Augustine?

St. George... The large LDS presence is a little intimidating, but I like its location a lot better and since it's growing faster, it seems like there's a good chance you could assimilate with other transplants around you. I'd pick GJ if it weren't so isolated from other large cities.

Lexington, KY or Charlottesville, VA?

Lexington, KY or Charlottesville, VA?
Bluegrass vs. Blue Ridge.

I love the greenery and scenery around Charlottesville, and Mr. Jefferson's University is up there with his home outside it as great works of architecture. Maybe I'm selling horse country and UK short, but I'll take Charlottesville here.

Lancaster, Pa., or Portland, Me.?

Portland because of the oceanfront and not landlocked.

Iowa City, IA or Lafayette, IN? (both college towns)
